Gallifrey Base iPod MP3 Picks Chart July/August 2012

Finally the inevitable has happened, with the Beatles taking over at the top of the overall chart following their 5th successive stint at the top of the bi-monthly chart. Big news this period appears to have been the Offspring, 5th with 11 picks sending them up 39 places to #46 overall.

Gallifrey Base iPod MP3 Chart May/June 2012

I thought I was going to be posting a change at the top, as the Beatles caught and passed Bowie, but in the last week of June David came back to restore a lead of the odd vote in 361. The Fab Four are once again easily top of the bi-monthly chart though, with Metallica a surprise second ahead of DB. The picks have dried up a bit behind them, with Queen and Floyd only mustering 14 between them, while further down the chart, Muse climb 15 places to #29 and Coldplay parlay 7th place in the period to a new entry at #33 in the overall placings, with the only other new face being Bjork, though Green Day came from nowhere to be bubbling under at #58...
